Gray Whale Wisdom, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 educational nonprofit organization with the goal of opening hearts and minds to the beauty, grace and intelligence of cetaceans as conscious, communicatingmammals who support life in our oceans and influence our entire biosphere.
We review current global research findings on whale and dolphin intelligence, communication, biology, behavior and habitat. This information is compiled into a comprehensive picture of cetaceans and their marine environment. Multimedia presentations with corresponding educational materials are provided to schools as supplementary science units that meet standardized curriculum requirements for grade school science programs.
With a goal of reaching individuals and groups across the country and around the world, Gray Whale Wisdom is building familiarity with our ocean’s sentient, communicating cetaceans.We provide anextensive picture of the past and current understanding and appreciation of cetaceans and the marine environment to students of all ages.
We believe by exploring the broader concepts of consciousness, regarding cetaceans in particular, we gain a deeper understanding of the world in which we all live. The more aware and educated we are about the beings with whom we share our planet, the better prepared we will be to make conscious choices every day in all aspects of our lives.
Through education and inspiration, Gray Whale Wisdom strives to promote a greater appreciation for the interconnection of all life and a sense of stewardship toward our planet Earth. We have much to learn from these denizens of the sea and they are anxious to teach us!
About the founders of Gray Whale Wisdom
Keith Grey Hale is the president and co-founder of Gray Whale Wisdom, Inc. He has served as a naturalist with the Santa Barbara Channel Island National Marine Sanctuary as well as a docent and educator at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum Ty Warner Sea Center.
Keith has a greater vision of the world of cetaceans and humans together, communicating, supporting each other and creating balance in Earth’s biosphere.
Keith has developed a sensitivity to the subtle energies in nature. Through his process of becoming a gifted intuitive healer, Keith has connected with and established telepathic connection to the collective consciousness of whales. This communication has offered him a broader perception of the interconnectedness of life.
In addition to his scientific and metaphysical pursuits, Keith is an accomplished jewelry artist and teaches continuing education silversmithing courses.
Carolyn M. Gorman is co-founder and executive director of Gray Whale Wisdom. She has been instrumental in guiding the focus and mission of the organization and in developing the educational curriculum.
Carolyn has worked in the nonprofit sector with New Thought and consciousness focused organizations. She is a writer and literary editor. She brings her passion for poetry and creative prose to the process of writing and editing inspirational works of literature. Spirit has been speaking to and through her since childhood and is a driving force in her personal and vocational journey through life.
Through cetacean science-based classes and presentations, Keith and Carolyn endeavor to raise awareness about cetaceans and the human impact on our shared environment. With a focus on cetacean intelligence and communication, they open a dialogue exploring a deeper perspective of consciousness and the synergistic relationship between humans and whales.
