Hunting Whale Bone(s)
I am hunting whale bones. Old bones, petrified evidence of a huge community of cetacean families, a civilization that has faded to only a fraction of their former populations. As I walk along the deserted shore, gulls squawking overhead, I pick my way among the rocks and waves. The day starts out slow, not finding any of these precious relics of life from eons past. I don’t give up.
As I walk I keep getting glimpses of someone just out of sight. I feel him following me. I call to him, but he stays just out of sight. I sit and rest. I feel him standing close. Out of the corner of my eye I glimpse a form, a shadow. “Come, come and sit with me. Tell me your story” I say to him.
Silence is all I hear. “Please help me find the bones of our ancestor whales.” I continue. “I am to bring their love back to the inland sea.” I feel my new friend listening. Though we walk in silence the bones begin to appear, one by one.
The day ripens as the bones that were meant to go east reveal themselves. No digging today. These ancestors had been waiting, waiting to be seen and heard.
I feel so honored to be the one to carry them. And my new friend, the ancient mariner, a shadow of a whaler, is here to witness and honor and find forgiveness.
Their story, our story continues on the path to the ancient inland sea. The vibration of whale love will accompany us on our journey to the “Return of the Ancestors”. ~KGH~
“The Return of the Ancestors”
In April of 2009, fulfilling many indigenous prophecies from around the world, over 120 indigenous elders from six continents around the world came together in this great gathering to share their knowledge, wisdom, and prophecies with the people of the world.
An educational documentary video series was created to document the Return of the Ancestors gathering to give the messages from the elders to the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsdaCFu5pjc&list=PLF6D14F8962270E8A
